UKWAS STANDARD
The UK Woodland Assurance Standard (UKWAS) is an independent certification standard for verifying sustainable woodland management in the UK that is used for both Forest Stewardship Council? (FSC?) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) certification.
The standard is reviewed every five years and the start of a formal process to revise the UKWAS standard was announced in January 2021. An independent multi-stakeholder working group is taking forward the work.
GET INVOLVED
The UKWAS is managed by a multi-stakeholder partnership. Membership is open to organisations representing stakeholder groups and associate membership is open directly to stakeholders.
